The International Energy Agency (IEA) recently released a special report entitled "The Future of Heat Pumps", which is the first comprehensive global outlook on heat pumps. It points out that with the global energy crisis accelerating the adoption of heat pumps, the global heat pump sales will soar to record levels in the next few years.
The global energy crisis is driving a surge in heat pumps, bringing energy security and climate benefits

At present, most buildings in the world (such as houses, offices, schools and factories) still rely on fossil fuels for heating, especially natural gas. According to the special report of the International Energy Agency(IEA), "The Future of Heat Pump", heat pump is an efficient and climate-friendly technical solution that can help consumers save energy bills and reduce the country's dependence on imported fossil fuels.
In 2021, the global heat pump sales increased by nearly 15%, twice the average level in the past decade, with the EU sales increasing by about 35%. In order to cope with the global energy crisis, the sales volume in 2022 reached a record level, especially in Europe. The sales volume in some countries doubled in the first half of 2022 compared with the same period last year. If EU governments succeed in achieving greenhouse gas emission reduction and energy security goals, the annual sales of heat pumps will need to increase from 2 million in 2021 to 7 million by 2030.
China is the largest heat pump production and sales place in the world. The growth of global heat pump sales has promoted the rapid development of the export market. Among them, European countries have become the key export markets. Midea, Gree, Haier, Finney, Thermal Cube, Huatiancheng, Autoclair, Macon, Hass, Juyang, Wanjulong, Cilac and many other enterprises have achieved good results.
